The cookie diet is an interesting phenomenon that has been moving across the country. Not only this year, but over the years it has slowly been building momentum. These diet cookies have been on national TV, in magazines, news papers. In the news you will hear both positive and negative things about the cookie diet. Some people are swearing by it while others are swearing....at it. Lets start by looking at what the Cookie Diet is all about before we look at the positive & negative aspects that the media talks about.
Hunger control is the name of the game when you are on the cookie diet. The theory that if you can control your hunger and cravings while maintaining a low calorie diet you will lose weight. Sounds ok, makes sense. If you burn more calories then you are putting into your body you will lose weight. That's exactly how it happens. This diet is traditionally administered by a doctor who can make sure your body is getting what it needs while you are on the diet. Your body will receive just what it needs to get day to day, not a lot more. That is where a lot of the critasism of the cookie diet comes from.
The arguements against the diet revole around the fact that your body is not getting enough nutrients, thus the cookie diet is in fact more harmful then good. I believe you are told to have a cookie for breakfast and have a cookie for lunch then a reasonable supper. Your total calorie intake for the day is around 800-1000 calories, which is very low. The argument for the diet is that you are only suppose be on the diet for a short period of time, and you are maintain regular doctor checkups. You have set goals and targets that you are trying to accomplish and meet.
That's what I've found out about the cookie diet, please share your insight if you have tried it yourself or know someone who has.

Well,
ReplyDeleteIt is an extremely smart and logical way to lose weight. The way it works is like this, everybody knows that it takes a low calorie diet to successfully lose weight. However, a low calorie diet is hard to keep up with due to hunger pains which is something nobody should have to go through. When you eat very little calories you can get hungry again very quickly. Most foods that suppress your hunger are fatty and high in calories so they won't help you lose weight at all.
